Helloo lovely eclecticats!
There is a lot happening this month – but we’d like to take a beat to update you on some fairly big news…
eclectica will officially be 7…yes, SEVEN years old on the 24th of November 2023. And what an amazing seven years it has been, and as always thanks must be given to you, our awesome eclecticats without whom none of this would be possible.
When we picked up the keys back in 2016 we didn’t know what lay ahead and it’s been a wonderful learning curve and errr.. interesting what with global pandemics and Brexit chucked into the mix, and we’ve also managed to chuck in some interesting haircuts, life changes, fashion shows, new friends and whole lot of fun.
This year’s birthday will be celebrated in the usual, inimitable eclectica style, with perhaps a bottle or two (or three!) of something sparkly and raised glasses, but we will also be raising them for a different reason…
This birthday also see’s the end of a chapter as Vicki is stepping away from the Indie shop life and into the community energy sector.
I have no doubt eclectica will continue to grow and thrive and I’ve very much enjoyed the years working to set up and establish what is a wonderful, little independent boutique. I have met some really lovely people. Customers have become personal friends and it has been huge fun.
I have been most lucky to have had in Jodie a business partner who is one of the most industrious and creative people I’ve ever met. I will be excited to see new year collections and will certainly be back to shop as eclectica is one of the best, most interesting, clothing shops in England – simple. Vicki.x
Whilst leaving means a change of lifestyle for Vicki, Jodie remains as Director to ably Captain the eclectica ship and will be assisted by trusty crew-mates: Debby, Elaine, Vanessa and Marilyn during the transition. So rest-assured your ‘freshest Indie shop’ ‘aint going anywhere!
Life is made up of different chapters, and I wish Vicki every success as she writes this new professional one for her. It’s been an amazing seven years here in eclectica, and she leaves it in great shape for the future. Jodie.x
