This year’s Spring/Summer collection in eclectica got off to a flying start with its launch at our collaborative charity fashion show in April.
Church Warden Val Hardwick, Reverend Kelvin Price (pictured below) and the team at St Laurence’s worked tirelessly to create a raised catwalk down the aisle, cabaret seating, delicious nibbles and welcoming glass of prosecco for all who attended.
Our models were quite literally serenaded down the runway by a pianist, tickling out soft jazz standards and Jodie & I felt we’d seriously hit the BIG time 🙂
Once again, we were truly grateful to everyone involved, especially all the models. Our eclectica models are our customers and they give their time and masses of enthusiasm to us at least once a year.
Jodie started us off, going down first, followed by Caroline, Mandy, Penny, Louise and Dawn. It was lovely to hear all the ‘oohs and ahhs’ from folk who’d never seen our bright colours before. The Orientique tees and Desigual trouser suits have proven so popular we’ve all but sold out and everyone also fell in love with the gorgeous embroidered summer coats by Heart.
We never take ourselves too seriously here in eclectica and we all enjoyed a bit of fun. The one thing we do take seriously though is the fundraising for our charities and we were delighted to hear that the fashion show raised over £500 for Severn Hospice.
Severn Hospice provide specialist palliative care to those suffering from incurable illness and also provide fantastic support to families right here in Shropshire. They are such a well deserving charity and we’re super proud we were a small part of an evening that will help them continue doing the amazing job they do.
There are rumours we’ll be doing another show and and possibly even organise a Ludlow Fashion Week…we’ll have to get our planning heads on again!
As ever – A MAHOOSIVE ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who shops in eclectica, works with us and comes out to support us on these crazy adventures.
BIG LOVE. Vx
